Matebeleland North Dominates OZICC Awards

Matebeleland North province emerged victorious in the ORAP Zenzele Isuzu Champions Cup (OZICC), with Somvubu Secondary School girls and Hwange High School boys winning the tournament. The province swept all awards, showcasing its dominance.
In the girls’ competition, Nolwazi Mathuthu and Alia Dube (Somvubu Secondary School) shared the top goal scorer award with 5 goals each. Alia Dube also won player of the tournament and goalkeeper of the tournament awards, while Sandra Ncube (Somvubu Secondary School) was named the goalkeeper of the tournament.
In the boys’ tournament, Zibusiso Shumba (Somvubu Secondary School) was named player of the tournament, while Vince Mugande (Hwange High School) won goalkeeper of the tournament. Courage Sibanda (Somvubu Secondary School) and Pilot Sibanda (Hwange High School) shared the top goal scorer award with 3 goals each. Lincoln Zulu (Somvubu Secondary School) was named best defender.
Deputy Mayor Edwin Ndlovu commended ORAP for organizing the tournament, providing a platform for rural students to showcase their skills.
