The Traffic Safety Council of Zimbabwe (TSCZ) has taken proactive measures to ensure road safety across the country as the Heroes holiday approaches. The council has deployed officers along major highways to promote safe driving practices and proper road usage.

According to a statement from TSCZ, the deployment aims to encourage responsible driving habits and reduce the risk of accidents during the holiday period. The council has also deployed teams across the country to engage with motorists and raise awareness about the importance of road safety.

Last year’s Heroes holiday recorded alarming statistics of 132 road accidents, resulting in 15 deaths and 85 injuries. To avoid such incidents, the TSCZ urges motorists to exercise extreme caution and follow traffic rules.

Motorists are encouraged to drive safely and responsibly to ensure a safe and enjoyable journey during the Heroes holiday.
