Sports Veteran Journalist to be buried today

The church service for Simba Rushwaya who passed on Tuesday at Parirenyatwa Group of hospitals was held yesterday and his burial is slated for today at his homestead in Birchenough Bridge.

The veteran journalist succumbed to Colon Cancer. To honour his Sports reporting legacy, a large number of journalists attended his memorial service yesterday.

After the service Rushwaya’s body was taken to his home in Damofalls Phase 4 for a brief service and thereafter taken to Birchenough Bridge in preparation for the burial today.

Simba Rushwaya started off his journalism career in 2000 at Associated Newspapers Of Zimbabwe. During his career he worked with Zimbabwe Mirror Group , Alpha Media Holdings, Newsday, Flame News, Gautend Guardian and Manica Post.
He is survived by his son.
