“My child is currently in Grade 7 at Mahatshula Primary School, and I wish him all the best in his exams. I am supporting him by helping him with his homework and ensuring he gets enough sleep each night to prepare him for the next day. I also make sure to follow up on his homework to ensure he is on top of his schoolwork.” He advised
Meanwhile, Mthokozisi Moyo, a community psychologist, speaking on Skyz FM’s Insimbi Yekuseni breakfast show, emphasized the importance of parents creating a supportive and stress-free environment at home to aid in effective exam preparation.
“As parents should limit distractions that affect their children. At times we focus too much on the duties we give them which actually disrupts their studying routine. We should offer a conducive environment for them to study. Choose the right place and location for them to study, places like libraries where there is no noise.”said Mthokozisi
Parents are being urged to place these exams as a top priority and encourage their children to perform at their best.
