Dab Three Events to Host Bulawayo Kasi to Kasi Talent Search

Bulawayo-based events company Dabthree Events, in partnership with the Bulawayo City Council and Benniah Foods, will host the ‘BYO Kasi To Kasi Talent Search,’ a series of talent showcases across the city.

The initiative aims to provide a platform for local talent to shine and grow.

According to Dabthree Events’ Marketing Director, Archford Hadebe, the motivation behind the talent search is to give individuals the opportunity to showcase their skills, particularly those who may not have access to such platforms.

“We realized most people in Bulawayo find it hard to get platforms to showcase their talents therefore we decided to go to their townships and the talent. We have partnered with Bulawayo City Council who have opened up their youth centers in and around Bulawayo for us to use” said Hadebe

Hadebe also emphasized the importance of identifying talent within local communities and offering a stage for them to perform.

The inaugural edition will take place on Saturday 19 October, at the Inyathi Youth Center in Mpopoma. It will later expand to other areas, including Mzilikazi, Cowdray Park, and Pumula.

Hadebe also outlined the eligibility requirements, noting that participants must be residents of Bulawayo and fall within specific age categories to take part.

“What’s only required is for the participants to be between 18 and 35 years and also be talented in whichever art form,” said Dab Three Events Marketing Director

The competition will feature categories including music, poetry, theatre, dance, and drama. A panel of renowned industry artists will serve as judges, providing feedback and guidance to participants.
