President Mnangangwa Signs Anti Sanctions e-Petition

The President of Zimbabwe,His excellency Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa today officially signed the online anti sanctions petition at the Bulawayo Large city hall.

The petition which seek one million signatories, aims to suppress and do way with the sanctions imposed on Zimbabwe by the west.

Speaking during the SADC anti sanctions commemorations, His excellency president Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangawa said that there is need to pursue new prospects for accelerated economic growth which have all been hindered by the sanctions imposed on the country.

”It is high time that all of us as a nation should indulge in the relentless fight against sanctions imposed on the country. Let us pursue new prospects for accelerated socio-economic growth while also engaging and re-engaging committed nations in the region in the fight against sanctions,” said President Mnangagwa.

“Our strength lies in our unity, harmony and mutual beneficial relations within the committe of nations and thus Zimbabwe is committed to working closely with other coutries in the SADC region, for the collective good despite the existence of the heinous and inhumane illegal sanctions,” added Mnangagwa.

The Southern African Development Community (SADC) Anti-Sanctions Day, initiated in 2019, is an annual event aimed at uniting the region in solidarity with Zimbabwe. The day is dedicated to raising awareness about the devastating effects of sanctions imposed on the country and to advocate for their removal.

SADC member states recognize the significant impact of these sanctions on Zimbabwe’s economic development and social progress.
