Lupane State University has rescheduled its 19th graduation ceremony to Saturday, 9 November. The event will begin at 8 am at the main campus in Lupane, bringing together students, faculty, and guests for the celebration.
This year, 1,708 students will be capped, including 663 postgraduates and 942 undergraduates.
In an interview with Skyz Metro FM, LSU’s Acting Director of Marketing and Public Relations, Mr. Densan Kulube, notified attendees of the change in date while assuring them that the event’s schedule will remain the same.
“Lupane State University would like to inform all the graduands and invited guests that the graduation ceremony has been moved to the 9th of November 2024, on Saturday. The program will remain the same, save for the change of the day,” Kulube stated.
He also encouraged guests to explore the campus and engage with the marketing and public relations team, noting that such interactions could uncover valuable opportunities for collaboration in fields like agriculture and business. Through LSU’s LupFin program, small businesses can access loans to support their growth.
“They should not just come and experience the ceremony only. Maybe they could take time to engage with us, to engage with our different directorates and sections of the university, so they can find out how best they can partner with the University. This way, the University can grow, and they can grow wherever they are,” he added.
Kulube further advised students and guests to exercise caution on the roads, given the start of the rainy season.
“Again, there is the issue that the wet season seems to be starting. All the animals, especially cattle and donkeys, always find it greener first along highways. So, when driving, please be on the lookout. There are a lot of stray cows and donkeys in the forest, and the roads are not at their best,”.
