The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has announced an increase in fuel prices effective 5 November 2024.
According to ZERA’s statement, diesel prices have risen by USD 0.01, from USD 1.50 in October to USD 1.52 in November. The price of petrol blend has also gone up by USD 0.02, moving from USD 1.49 to USD 1.51.
The fuel blend contains 20% ethanol and 80% gasoline, following the E20 blending ratio.
While operators may sell fuel below the stipulated prices if their business models allow, they are prohibited from charging above these rates. ZERA also requires operators to display the new prices prominently, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
