The National Arts Merit Awards (NAMA) has announced its search for talented Zimbabwean social media influencers to collaborate with for its upcoming 23rd edition, slated for next year.

The National Arts Merit Awards (NAMAs) are annual awards presented by the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe (NACZ) to recognize outstanding achievements in the arts and culture of Zimbabwe.

In an announcement made on their official social media platforms, NAMA director Mr. Tinashe Kitchen stated that they are seeking influencers with a following of over 20,000 who are passionate about celebrating creativity and excellence in the arts industry.

“This year, our theme for NAMA is Afrofuturism, where we look into the future to see how best we can project what Zimbabwe will look like in 100 years.”

“If you are a social media content creator and have more than 20,000 followers, we want you to be a part of our journey. Please submit whatever work you may have, whether it’s video content, photography, or digital content as well,” said Kitchen.

Meanwhile, the 23rd edition of the National Arts Merit Awards is set to take place in 2025 under the theme “Afrofuturism: A Vision for Tomorrow”. Submissions are currently open until 30 November 2024, and eligible submissions must have been produced between 1 December 2023 and 30 November 2024.
