Bulawayo’s Nozinhle Evelyn Gumede will compete in the Miss World Zimbabwe grand finale this Saturday at Siyekhaya Estate in Borrowdale, Harare, under the theme “Beauty with a Purpose.”

“I am so excited to be chosen as one of the top 12 participants representing Bulawayo and Matabeleland as a whole. I am very proud to not only represent Bulawayo but also every person affected by climate change because I will be advocating for them.”

“The theme ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ aligns perfectly with my passion for addressing climate change and helping communities, especially women, adapt to its challenges,” said Gumede.

The 22-year-old model is among the top 12 finalists vying for the prestigious crown on November 30, 2024. She has urged residents of Bulawayo and the Matabeleland region to support her in bringing the title home.

“I am calling on everyone in Bulawayo and Matabeleland to support me through voting and being with me on this journey. I look forward to hopefully bringing the crown home,” said Nozinhle Gumede.

Nozinhle, a professional model and climate activist, earned bronze in the Voice for Change category at Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2024.

A trained climate diplomat and founder of Mainah Trust, she is committed to educating communities about climate change. She is currently pursuing a diploma in development studies at Lupane State University.
