The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has announced an upward review of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) prices for January, following recent fluctuations in global energy prices.
In a statement released by the authority, the new price for LPG is set at $1.58 USD per kilogram, a slight increase from $1.55 USD in December. In local currency, the price has risen to ZIG 40.91, compared to ZIG 39.85 last month.
ZERA has advised all LPG operators to display the revised prices prominently at their retail outlets using clearly legible letters, ensuring transparency for consumers. However, the authority also emphasized that operators have the flexibility to sell below the prescribed rates depending on their business advantages.
Consumers are encouraged to verify LPG pricing through ZERA’s official website and social media channels to ensure they are receiving accurate and up-to-date information.
