Ntalale Man Sentenced to 20 Years for Killing Pregnant Wife

Tsoanelo Sibanda, a 39-year-old man from Ntalale, Guyu, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison by the Bulawayo High Court for the murder of his pregnant wife, Letshani Ndlovu.

The tragic incident occurred on 18 May 2016, in Ntalale, Guyu, Matebeleland South when a heated argument over allegations of infidelity escalated into violence, resulting in the death of Ndlovu, who was 38 years old and seven months pregnant by the time of her murder.

According to court documents, Sibanda chased his wife and struck her twice with a stone. One blow landed on her head, and the other on her left ear, causing serious bleeding and rendering her unconscious.

Despite attempts to get her medical attention, Ndlovu died from her injuries before reaching the hospital. The National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe emphasized the importance of continued efforts to combat domestic violence and ensure continued justice for victims.
