Following the successful launch of the Lift African Women Up Foundation on Saturday, February 8, 2025, founder Lwazi Mbowa continued her mission of empowering women by hosting a special Valentine’s Dinner yesterday at IROCK Lodge in Victoria Falls.

The Valentine’s Dinner, themed “Love and Sex,” brought together women and couples to celebrate love, resilience, and the importance of healthy relationships, combining celebration with meaningful conversations about love, marriage, and emotional well-being.

In her opening address, Mbowa emphasized the importance of love and mutual respect in relationships.

“Valentine’s Day is not just about romance; it’s about celebrating the love we have for ourselves and for one another. It’s about healing from past hurts and building relationships that uplift and empower us,” she said.

The event featured Guest of Honor Mr. Thwasalodumo Mvundla, who shared insights on maintaining healthy relationships, navigating challenges, and fostering intimacy.

One of the highlights of the night was a testimony from a couple who shared their journey of overcoming infidelity and rebuilding trust in their marriage.

“This evening has been a beautiful reminder that love is worth fighting for. It’s not always easy, but with commitment and understanding, we can overcome any challenge,” they said.

Their story resonated deeply with the audience, serving as a powerful reminder of the resilience of love and the importance of forgiveness.

The Valentine’s Dinner concluded with a call to action from Mbowa, who urged attendees to continue supporting one another and to embrace the foundation’s mission of empowerment and healing.

“Let us carry the spirit of this evening into our daily lives. Let us lift each other up, celebrate love in all its forms, and work towards building healthier, happier relationships,” she said.

The event was widely praised by attendees, who described it as a unique and uplifting way to celebrate Valentine’s Day. The Lift African Women Up Foundation continues to make a significant impact in the community, offering women and couples the tools and support they need to thrive.

As the foundation moves forward, Mbowa remains committed to her vision of creating a world where women are empowered, relationships are strengthened, and love is celebrated in all its forms.
