Chevrons head coach, Justin Sammons, believes a packed schedule for the Chevrons will help the team improve as they will be exposed to playing against high-ranked countries.

The Chevrons are currently hosting visitors Ireland and are now left with a T20 series to complete the tour, after losing the Test match in Bulawayo and winning the ODI series 2-1 in Harare

Zimbabwe, having been one of the inactive countries, has a packed 2025 season, and Chevrons coach Justin Sammons believes it’s a good thing, as a packed schedule will help them improve.

“A packed schedule like the one we have this year is exactly what the Chevrons need,” said Head Coach Sammons. “It’s going to be challenging, no doubt, but it’s the best way for us to grow as a team. Playing against high-ranked opposition regularly will expose us to different styles and strategies, forcing us to adapt and improve. We have seen some positive signs recently, and this increased exposure will only accelerate our development.”

The Chevrons kicked off their 2025 season with a series against Afghanistan. Currently, they are hosting Ireland, and after completing this series, they will embark on a white-ball tour to Bangladesh. Following the Bangladesh tour, they will face England in a one-off Test match in May.

The second half of the season will see the Chevrons host South Africa for a two-match Test series in July. They will then welcome New Zealand for two Test matches and three ODIs in August. This will be followed by a tour from Sri Lanka, which will take place in August and September. Finally, Afghanistan will return to Zimbabwe in October for the last tour of the season.
