ZESA has alerted the public to expect heightened load shedding across the country following a technical breakdown at Hwange Power Station.

The fault has caused a major reduction in electricity generation, prompting the power utility to extend outages affecting all consumer groups nationwide.

In a statement, ZESA said its technical teams are working urgently to diagnose and fix the issue in order to restore normal power supply.

Until then, consumers are urged to conserve electricity and prepare for longer power outages. ZESA says it will provide regular updates as progress is made on repairs.
