MWOS FC Dominates Castle Lager Premier Soccer League May Awards

MWOS FC made a clean sweep of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League monthly accolades for May 2025, with Coach Lloyd Mutasa and forward Billy Veremu both earning top honors.
Mutasa was named Coach of the Month following a string of strong performances by MWOS FC, who have emerged as serious title contenders. His tactical acumen and leadership have seen the team maintain a consistent and dominant run through the month.
Meanwhile, Billy Veremu was crowned Player of the Month after delivering a series of outstanding performances. His sharp finishing and all-around attacking display have been instrumental in MWOS FC’s success. Veremu is also currently tied as the league’s top goal scorer, having netted 9 goals after 14 matchdays, a tally he shares with Washington Navaya of Telone FC.
The PSL also highlighted other leading scorers for May:
• Innocent Musiwa (Bikita Minerals FC), Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya (FC Platinum), and Reason Sibanda (Highlanders FC) follow closely with 5 goals each.
• Players with 4 goals include:
• Itai Brighton Makopa (Chicken Inn FC)
• Brighton Ncube (Highlanders FC)
• Isaskar Hobasen Gurirab (Simba Bhora FC)
• Charles Munyanyi and Fanuel Shoko (ZPC Kariba FC)
Several others have made valuable contributions with 3 goals each:
• Ronald Chitiyo and Perfect Tarisai Chikwende (Greenfuel FC)
• Charles Teguru and Brett Amidu (Manica Diamonds FC)
• Tymon Machope (Scottland FC)
• Junior Makunike (Simba Bhora FC)
