Magwegwe Secondary School received a Starlink internet kit yesterday, thanks to a generous donation by two of the school’s pioneer students, Dumisani Gumpo and Mthobie Ndlovu.

The pair, who were part of the school’s very first intake, say they were moved to give back to the institution that laid the foundation for their success.

Speaking to SkyzMetro FM in an interview, one the donors Mr Mthobie Ndlovu stated that they believe the Starlink donation will propel Magwegwe learners into the global digital space and ensure the school is part of the modern tech era.

He also revealed plans to introduce AI tools and robotics in the future, with hopes of attracting more support from other former students.

Mr Ndlovu further emphasized that this initiative is not only about giving back, but also about partnering with the Ministry of Education, teachers, and the wider Magwegwe community to help shape a brighter, tech-driven future for the next generation.

In conclusion, Mr Ndlovu praised the school leadership, especially Headmaster Mr. Ncube and staff, for being open to partnerships and embracing innovation.
