Bulawayo’s fast-rising comedian Denford “D’Juni” Musvosvi says he wants the city to become a true landmark for comedy in Zimbabwe.
Speaking to Skyz Metro FM, D’Juni said his mission is to help grow the craft and see Bulawayo recognised for producing top-tier comedic talent.
Recently nominated for the Bulawayo Arts Awards, he praised his growing influence to consistency, from hosting regular shows to building a loyal audience throughout the year.
“My growing influence has been as a result of consistency, something I believe has opened doors and pushed my craft forward. I have been consistently hosting comedy shows throughout the year and that has helped sharpen my skills and build a loyal audience,” he said.
D’Juni stated that Bulawayo has huge potential, and he sees it as his duty to show up, refine his skills and uplift the city’s comedy scene. With another show on the way, he promised a performance that will exceed expectations.
“Bulawayo has enormous potential and it is my responsibility to show up consistently, not only to grow personally but to elevate the city’s comedy scene as a whole.”
He also revealed plans for a series of shows next year, as he works to keep Bulawayo’s comedy momentum rising.
