Munetsi Expresses Disappointment Over AFCON Snub

Warriors midfielder Marshall Munetsi has expressed deep disappointment after being left out of Zimbabwe’s squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), despite his strong desire and commitment to represent the country.

Munetsi, who had recently sustained an injury, stated that his club, Wolverhampton Wanderers, had already updated the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) on his recovery progress.

The club had also reportedly offered medical assistance to ensure he could be fit in time for the tournament. However, there was no further communication from the national football authorities, leading to what Munetsi described as a lack of clarity surrounding his exclusion.

Despite his disappointment, Munetsi reaffirmed his continued support for the Warriors and said he respects the decisions made by the coaching team.
