At 23, Zanele Moyo is carrying more than a crown. The reigning Miss Tourism Zimbabwe 2026 winner is preparing to represent Zimbabwe at the globally recognised Miss Tourism International pageant in China, positioning herself as one of a new generation of young cultural ambassadors using pageantry to promote tourism, entrepreneurship, and community impact.
For Moyo, the journey extends beyond the runway. A model, entrepreneur, and youth advocate from Bulawayo, she has steadily built a profile rooted in cultural storytelling and social impact.
Before clinching the national tourism crown in April, she had already earned recognition as Miss Uhuru Zimbabwe and launched Project Discover Zimbabwe, an initiative aimed at spotlighting lesser-known tourism destinations and celebrating the country’s cultural diversity.
Her growing influence reflects a wider shift within Zimbabwe’s creative and tourism sectors, where young professionals are increasingly blending advocacy, business, and digital storytelling to reshape the country’s image internationally.
Alongside her work in pageantry, Moyo runs a print media and branding business while also working as a peer educator and advocate for the empowerment of young girls.

Since being crowned on 11 April 2026, support for Moyo has intensified across Bulawayo’s business and creative communities. Local brands including Bardi Glam, Lens Luther Photography, and Tables and Pins have partnered with her ahead of the international competition, providing resources and visibility as preparations gather momentum.
“This is more than a pageant; it’s a chance to showcase Zimbabwe’s beauty, culture, and heritage to the world,” said Loraine Sibanda, founder of MIChiko PR. “We are calling on sponsors, partners, and the public to rally behind Zanele as she carries the pride of Bulawayo and Zimbabwe with her.”
In many ways, Moyo’s rise mirrors the ambitions of a city seeking renewed visibility on international cultural platforms. Long regarded as Zimbabwe’s creative capital, Bulawayo has in recent years produced a growing number of artists, designers, media personalities, and cultural entrepreneurs gaining regional and global recognition.
To celebrate her journey, a send-off dinner is scheduled for 26 June 2026, where supporters, sponsors, and members of the public are expected to gather in honour of her upcoming participation at the international finals.
Organisers say the event will serve both as a farewell celebration and a platform to mobilise further support for Zimbabwe’s representative.
As anticipation builds ahead of the competition in China, Moyo is emerging not only as a pageant contestant, but as part of a broader narrative about Zimbabwean youth redefining representation, culture, and tourism through enterprise and advocacy.
