ZRP Arrests Trio In Drug Bust

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed the arrest of three suspects, including a foreign national, in connection with a drug trafficking case along the Beitbridge-Bulawayo Road.

Police identified the suspects as Mthokozisi Patrick Hlophe (46), Tapiwa Dube (38), and Dalubuhle Sibanda (41).

The trio was arrested at the 60-kilometre peg while travelling in a Nissan Hardbody Double Cab, registration number XVD 354 GH.

According to the ZRP, detectives recovered 120,244 kilogrammes of dagga from the vehicle, subsequently leading to the arrest of the suspects.

Meanwhile, ZRP have further urged the members of the public to reject any forms of drug and substance smuggling, peddling, and trafficking.
