President Pays Tribute To Linda Masarira

President Dr Emmerson Mnangagwa has expressed condolences following the death of political activist and civic leader Linda Masarira, who died at Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals on Sunday.

In a statement, President Mnangagwa described Masarira’s death as a loss to her family, Zimbabwean women and the nation at large.

He said Masarira was a bold and outspoken figure who consistently promoted dialogue, constitutionalism and national unity during her involvement in politics and civil society.

President Mnangagwa also commended her participation in platforms such as the Political Actors Dialogue, saying she demonstrated that people from different political backgrounds could engage respectfully for the country’s development.

Masarira was also recognised for her contributions to civic engagement and advocacy for peace and national cohesion. She was also a former MDC activist and LEAD political party leader.
