Zimbabwe Women Set For Historic SA Series

Zimbabwe Women will host South Africa Women in a historic five-match T20 International series at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo from September 11 to 19.
The tour marks the first-ever visit to Zimbabwe by South Africa’s senior women’s national team, with matches scheduled for September 11, 13, 15, 17 and 19.
The series comes as Zimbabwe Women continue rebuilding following their campaign at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifier earlier this year.
Zimbabwe Cricket Managing Director Givemore Makoni says hosting one of the world’s leading women’s teams is an important step in the growth of the game locally.
Makoni says the tour will give Zimbabwe’s players valuable experience against top-level opposition while helping inspire the next generation of female cricketers.
South Africa Women are currently ranked fifth in the ICC Women’s T20 International rankings.
