Zimbabwe’s Under-15 side, the Young Warriors, came from two goals down to beat the Philippines 3-2 at the FIFA Under-15 World Cup and Festival in Baku, Azerbaijan, on Thursday.

Marlon Zuruvi scored twice, while Ngoni Tombo added the other goal to complete Zimbabwe’s comeback.

The Philippines took a two-goal lead within the opening 21 minutes before Zuruvi pulled one back in the 27th minute. Tombo equalised six minutes later, before Zuruvi struck again in the 39th minute to seal the win.

The result adds to Zimbabwe’s earlier victories over Cambodia and Montenegro, following defeats to the Republic of Ireland, Lithuania and England.
