Zimbabwe winger Tawanda Maswanhise has committed his future to Scottish Premiership side Motherwell.

The 22-year-old has signed a new contract keeping him at the club until the summer of 2027, with an option for a further year.

Maswanhise, who joined Motherwell a year ago, has been in red-hot form, netting four goals in the Premier Sports Cup group stages and scooping the July Player of the Month award.

Manager Jens Berthel Askou says Tawanda’s pace and aggression make him a nightmare for defenders, and he expects the Zimbabwe international to play a key role this season.

Since arriving, Maswanhise has made 40 appearances, scoring 10 goals. Speaking after penning the deal, he said staying at the club was an easy choice, praising the fans, teammates, and staff for making him feel valued.
