Zimbabwe Cricket has added some sparkle to this year’s Domestic T20 Competition, rolling out night matches for the first time at Harare Sports Club.
The move is aimed at boosting fan attendance and giving players vital experience under lights ahead of the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
The tournament kicked off this week, but from Wednesday, selected games will now start at 6:30pm. On Wednesday night, Rhinos take on Eagles at 18:30 and on Friday, Tuskers face Mountaineers at 6:30pm. On Saturday, Tuskers clash with Southern Rocks at 6:30pm.
Zimbabwe Cricket says the schedule changes make it easier for supporters to catch the action after work, while giving players more competitive game time in night-time conditions.
The competition was also brought forward from January to help players fighting for World Cup spots sharpen their form.
