Junior Academies Now Under ZIFA Authority

The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) says all junior football academies and leagues must register under its authority with immediate effect, as part of efforts to formalise and regulate youth football structures.

In a statement, ZIFA says the directive applies to Under-13, Under-15 and Under-17 leagues nationwide.

All teams will be required to register through their respective provincial leagues, and players and officials must be captured on the FIFA–ZIFA Connect system.

ZIFA says detailed player registration and competition guidelines will be released in due course.

The association added that the move is aimed at safeguarding young players, improving data integrity and aligning Zimbabwe’s youth football with international standards.
