Delta Beverages has donated 10 hospital beds to Mpilo Central Hospital in Bulawayo as part of a nationwide initiative marking Castle Lager’s 10th anniversary.

The handover, held at Mpilo Central Hospital, is the fourth in a series of 10 planned donations across Zimbabwe’s provinces. The programme aims to improve patient care and support public health institutions.

Speaking during the handover ceremony on Tuesday, Delta Beverages Plant Manager, Tonderai Tshuma, said the initiative was part of a commitment made during the National Castle Lager Braai Day celebrations to give back to communities.

He added that another batch of beds will also be distributed to hospitals across the country to enhance healthcare delivery and improve patient comfort.

Acting Medical Officer at Mpilo Central Hospital, Professor Solwayo Ngwenya, welcomed the donation, saying it would contribute to improving service delivery and aligns with national development goals, including Vision 2030.

The Castle Lager Braai Day initiative forms part of the brand’s anniversary celebrations through community-focused programmes.
