Bulawayo Mayor applauds the City leaders for a job well done

Bulawayo Mayor and Councillor Solomon Mguni has applauded the outgoing
City leaders for standing on the shoulders of giants and doing an amazing job during their term despite challenges such as the Covid 19.

The mayor said this during his valedictory address to review the council term of office from 2018 to August 2023.

In his speech he said
The City has witnessed significant growth at an average rate of 5%.

He added that in the health sector Thorngroove Infectious Hospital which was in a sorry state in 2018 is now a state of the art hospital.

Mayor Mguni also added that the council also built Vulindlela Primary School in Cowdray Park which is a project that Skyz Metro FM news department followed up until its launch citing that the school was built using devolution funds.

The council also addressed sewages in Matshobana which was now a health hazard in the Community.

There was also construction of computer labs in Mawaba ,Mkhithika Thebe ,Mgoqo ,Mgombane ,Nketha and Mthombowesizwe Primary School and a total of nine reading hubs and forty five mini school libraries were established.
