Office of the president and cabinet congratulate re-elected president ED

The Chief Secretary Dr. Misheck J. M Sibanda, Deputy Chief Secretaries, Heads of Departments, Chief Directors and staff in the Office of the President and Cabinet have congratulated the newly re-elected President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa for winning this year’s harmonised elections.

This comes after the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) on Saturday declared President Mnangagwa the winner after he garnered 52.6% of the votes after obtaining 2 350 711votes while the Citizen Coalition for Change presidential candidate got 1 967 343 votes which constituted 44% of the votes.

Office of the President and Cabinet highlighted that the president’s ‘thunderous victory’ surpassed the 2018 margin leading to most local, regional and international observers having nothing expect admiration for the peaceful and tranquil environment that prevailed throughout the elctoral cycle.

Further citing that this is a new page for the president to re-harness the entire government machinery for the onerous task of completing the second task of the National Development Strategy 1 and subsequent phases of socio-economic development.
