32 year man arrested for armed robbery

32-year old Makhosini Mathobela has been arrested for armed robbery after he reportedly pounced on an unsuspecting 68 year old man with numerous weapons .
Mathobela is said to have threatened Wilson Tshuma (68) with a pistol ,machete,axe and took away his Hauwei cellphone,Samsung cellphone and $US100.
Tshuma was attacke in his shop.
The court heard that he was sleeping in one of the rooms at the shop and woke up aupon hearing noises.
The court heard that when Tshuma got into the shop. Mathobela hit him on the left arm and on his back and demanded money.
The court also heard that when the Police detectives arrived at the crime scene ,they picked a CANIK C100 Pistol with serial numbers erased.
The pistol was taken to CID Forensic Ballistics for examination and the results showed that the pistol was functional.
The accused was arrested on June 21 2023, for owning an unlicensed firearm and for armed robbery.
