Concord Young Women in Business launches district empowerment drive

Concord Young Women in Business Global have launched the district empowerment drive which aims to empower women with Information Communication Technologies skills.

The launch came about during the graduation ceremony for Young Women who had completed a goat rearing and the Information Communication Technologies (ICT) training program in Epworth over the weekend.

The Concord Young Women in Business President Miss Aphia Nyasha Musavengana spoke during the event and expressed appreciation to different ministeries for assuring them of their support.

“We are very happy because the Ministry of Youth, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Women Affairs have partnered with us to ensure that beneficiaries of the training we are giving are going to be recognised”, said Musavengana

Speaking during the same event, Youth Empowerment Development and Vocational training Deputy Minister Kudakwashe Mupamhanga encouraged organisations to officialise their relationships with the youth ministry so as to get support.

“We really encourage organisations like these to officialise their relationships with the ministry, so that we continue to support them. As you know, Women here trained in Agriculture, some in ICT, so we really want to see toungable results”, said Mupamhanga

Concord Young Women in Business have a thrust that revolves around making sure every woman has an opportunity to play their part in the mainstream economy.
