ZMC opens its first Regional offices

In a groundbreaking event since its launch back in 2010, the Zimbabwe Media Commission (ZMC) , opened its first Regional offices in Bulawayo as it seeks to extend its arms of operations to all corners of the country.
The recently opened offices in the City, will be the (ZMC’s) first offices outside of Harare that the Commision has opened as it seeks to decentralize its operations to ensure that all its services are accessible in every corner of the nation.
Speaking to Skyz Metro FM on the sidelines of the event, ZMC chairperson Professor Ruby Magosvongwe said that the opening of the offices is an achievement.
“It is an achievemernt as it marks a step further in bringing services closer to its partners, stakeholders as well as the citizens of the Matebeleland region as it aims to leave no place behind in terms of accessibility and development “, she said.
Minister of State for Bulawayo Metropolitan Province Honourable Judith Ncube in her speech read on her behalf by Ebesta Lumeli said that the move made by the commision is a clear indication of developing the coutry.
” This is a clear indication of the nation’s drive of leaving no one and no place behind in terms of development, and l urge media practitioners to take full advantage of the recently opened offices as well as amplify the good work being done “, she said.
As part of its efforts to expand its operations, (ZMC) are also aiming to open more offices across different provinces of the country this year which include Midlands, Masvingo and Manicaland.
