Acting Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Ambassador Rofina Chikava says the Bi National Commission meeting between Zimbabwe and Botswana which is currently taking place in Botswana is strengthening relations between the two countries.

The BNC meetings are done to seal agreements in areas spanning political and diplomatic cooperation, trade, and economic cooperation.

She further said the two nations are working on the enhancement of service delivery in the two countries.

Ambassador Chikava also said the growth in relations is evident from frequent visits to Botswana by President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa.

The bond of friendship has been further entrenched in frequent diplomatic conduct and further exchange if visits. In 2023 alone, President Emmerson Mnangagwa visited Botswana twice,” said Ambassador Chikava.

Speaking during the same event, acting permanent secretary in Botswana’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Clifford Maribe said he is confident the latest meeting will address issues raised in previous BNC meetings.
