The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade is gearing up to host the second Diaspora Investment Conference and Homecoming Event this month.
This year the Government of Zimbabwe is set to host the second Diaspora Investment Conference and Homecoming Event from April 11 to 13, 2024, at the Great Zimbabwe Hotel in Masvingo.
The conference theme is “Celebrating Diaspora Participation Through a Mutually Beneficial Partnership for National Development and Sustained Economic Growth.”
In a press release, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the conference aims to unite the Diaspora with the government and other stakeholders to explore investment opportunities in Zimbabwe and the Diaspora’s role in national development. It will serve as a platform for dialogue, networking, knowledge sharing, and identifying mutual benefits. Additionally, the conference offers an opportunity for the Diaspora to reconnect with their roots and find ways to contribute to their home country’s development.
The conference will be held in hybrid format, with both in-person and virtual participation options available.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade said it is working with the private sector and other stakeholders to ensure a successful event.
