Stage set for EUROs commencement

Euro 2024 is set to begin in Germany on Friday, with the host nation Germany playing Scotland in Munich in the opening game of the tournament at 9pm.
All 51 matches will be played across 10 stadiums, marking Germany’s organisation of another international football event after the 2006 World Cup.
Italy are the defending champions, having beaten England in the final of Euro 2020 in London, when the tournament was postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In other games to be played, on Saturday Group A matchday 1 games conclude with Hungary taking on Switzerland at 3pm . In Group B, Spain locks horns with Croatia at 6pm while defending champions. Italy faces Albania in a match scheduled for 9pm kickoff time.
