President Mnangagwa paid tribute to the late Brigadier-General Romeo Daniel Mutsvunguma at a state funeral held at the National Heroes’ Acre today.

Brigadier-General Mutsvunguma’s exemplary leadership and selfless service earned him numerous accolades, including the Liberation medal and DRC campaign medal. President Mnangagwa encouraged Zimbabweans to follow in his footsteps, promoting a spirit of unity and progress.

The President reiterated Zimbabwe’s commitment to international friendship and cooperation, emphasizing that the nation remains a steadfast friend to all and an enemy to none. This philosophy was reflected in the diverse attendance at the ceremony, which included the First Lady, Vice Presidents, Cabinet ministers, and diplomats from various countries.

The late Brigadier-General’s legacy as a committed cadre was honored, and his contributions to Zimbabwe’s liberation and development were celebrated.
