USD$4 Million Robbery Shakes Bulawayo: Suspects Remain at Large

Police have launched a manhunt for the six armed robbers responsible for the cash-in-transit vehicle robbery that occurred yesterday at the Ecobank Parkade Centre branch in Bulawayo.
Contrary to social media reports the robbers who escaped with USD 4 million are still on the run.
Speaking to the media about the matter the Zimbabwe Republic Police National Spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi , said authorities are reviewing security footage and intensifying their search for the suspects.
Commissioner Nyathi added that no injuries were reported, but there are indications that the robbery was an inside job .
The heist, executed by the six armed men, unfolded in the city’s central business district in broad daylight.
The suspects arrived in a white pickup truck, with registration plates AGP 2333 and overpowered the security team, forcing guards to the ground before seizing six trunks of cash intended for deposit at Ecobank.
