Zanu-PF Politburo Member and Former ZIPRA Leader Retired Colonel Tshinga Dube Dies

ZANU-PF politiburo member and former Member of Parliament for Makokoba,Retired Colonel Tshinga Dube, has died.
He was 83 .
Retired Colonel Dube passed away at a private hospital in Bulawayo yesterday, where he had been admitted, according to internal party sources.
Born on July 3, 1941, Dube played a key role in Zimbabwe’s liberation struggle, serving as a leader of ZAPU’s military wing, ZIPRA.
After independence, he joined the Zimbabwe National Army as Director of Signals and later worked in the Ministry of Defence, where he served as Deputy Secretary and Director of Research and Development.
Retired Colonel Dube held various leadership positions, including Managing Director of Zimbabwe Defence Industries, board member of the Zimbabwe Mining Development Corporation, and Deputy Chairman of TelOne. He was appointed chairperson of Marange Resources in 2012 and served on the United Nations Advisory Board on Disarmament.
His death marks the loss of a key figure in both Zimbabwe’s military and political history.
