The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC) has informed Cowdray Park residents of extended power outages following extensive copper cable theft.

According to ZETDC, the vandalism has disrupted electricity supply to the entire Cowdray Park area and its surroundings, causing significant inconvenience for residents.

ZETDC has warned that the situation could worsen, as power may be restored unpredictably. All electrical circuits should be treated as live during this period, posing potential safety risks and report any suspicious activities in the area.

The theft has caused substantial damage to the local power grid, hampering efforts to restore service quickly. ZETDC technicians are working to repair the damaged infrastructure, but due to the severity of the vandalism, the restoration process may take longer than expected.
