Bulawayo hip-hop sensation Tafadzwa Tarukwana, known as Asaph, recently returned from the USA after participating in the Next Level Global hip-hop exchange program. The initiative, which brings together artists from across the world, aims to uplift global hip-hop communities.

In an interview on SkyzMetro FM’s Metro Drive show, Asaph shared his insights on the program’s impact and its personal significance for him.

“One thing that stood out for me was that the community in America was very loving and welcoming, you know at times you may feel like you do not fit in, but then l learnt not to be apologetic, but to live life and enjoy,” said Asaph.

The ‘Mambo’ hitmaker also revealed plans to release two singles before the end of the year, with a new album coming in 2025.

Asaph, a three-time Roil Bulawayo Arts Awards winner, is also an EU Green and Gender Campaign ambassador and has collaborated with top artists like Nutty O, Gemma, and Msiz’kay.
