Mawiza Drops Song in Memory of Late Hip-Hop Icon Calvin Nhliziyo

Bulawayo-based Kwaito musician Wisdom Moyo popularly known as Mawiza has released a new song titled Eluveve as a tribute to the late hip-hop icon Cal-vin (Calvin Nhliziyo), who passed away on October 25, 2020.
In an interview with a Skyz Metro FM reporter, Mawiza highlighted that the song is a heartfelt celebration of Cal-vin’s life and legacy.
“The song was inspired by the late King Calvin umfana kaNhliziyo who passed on in 2020. So, every year we get together to celebrate his life and legacy, this year l decided to do a song Eluveve in his memory because it all started in Luveve, be it studio sessions, meet ups and all the hits we made were in Luveve”, said Mawiza
Mawiza also shared insights into the deeper meaning behind the song’s title, Eluveve, which holds personal significance and reflects Cal-vin’s lasting impact on the music community.
“Calvin used call himself that Luveve Boy and he was proud of where he comes from. When l think about him, the first thing that comes to mind is Luveve because there’s a lot that we did in Luveve” said the ENtumbane Kogogo hitmaker.
He collaborated with Skido from Emakhande and they are currently working on another upcoming project together.
Eluveve is now available on all major music streaming platforms.
