The collaboration between Tendy Three Investments (TTI) and the Bulawayo City Council (BCC) has created employment for 400 young people in Bulawayo, with the majority being young women.

Speaking to Skyz Metro FM, TTI General Manager Bongani Nyathi shared that this initiative focuses on empowering young women from various backgrounds, supporting the drive to reduce unemployment among women in the city.

“TTI has given job opportunities to even to the girl child. You realise that the partnership has a lot of ladies that are employed.
Some of them are single mothers, some could not continue with their school. So by employing them and being with them, we are giving them a chance to progress in life, “said Nyathi.

Since operations launched in 2023, this partnership has provided vital job opportunities, targeting Bulawayo’s 39.7% unemployment rate among women as recorded by Zimstat.

Nyathi emphasized the need to keep youth occupied to make sure they do not end up in activities that severely damage their futures.

“It is the responsibility of everyone in the help to help one another. If we have the power to give your young girls a chance at independence, we will do it.

I understand the need for your children to be employed because they are tired of boys and drugs and girls on the streets, “explained nyathi.

Nyathi said TTI plans to continue its collaboration with BCC to further combat youth unemployment in Bulawayo.
