Zim govt congratulates Botswana president elect

The government through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade has congratulated the newly elected Botswana President Dumo Gideon Boko on his victory in the recently held presidential elections.

In a statement ,the ministry wished Boko luck on his upcoming responsibilities, stating that his victory is a testament to how much the people of Botswana believe in his capabilities.

Also highlighting the hopes of continuous bilateral relations between the two nations with promises to cooperate with Botswana in regional and international matters with the goal of global economic and political prosperity.

President Elect Dumo Boko of the Umbrella Democratic Change party (UDP) won in the primary parliamentary elections that were held on 3 October.

UDP will take the reins from the Botswana Democratic Party, which has been in power for 58 years.
