The National University of Science and Technology’s 30th graduation ceremony has been relocated from the outdoor Sports Field at the university campus to Hall 4 at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) due to heavy rainfall across Bulawayo.

In a statement the Registrar Mr. Biggy Ngwenya said the persistent rain is expected to continue throughout the week, prompting the venue change to ensure a dry, secure environment for attendees.

“All graduands invited guests and stakeholders are hereby notified that due to the current heavy rains forecast to last the entire week, the venue for the National University of Science and Technology 2024 graduation ceremony has been moved from NUST sports field to the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) Hall 4”, he said.

The event, scheduled to begin at 0830hrs, will see over 3,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students capped by President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa.

Guests and graduates are advised to arrive early and observe the safety protocols in place.

President Mnangagwa will preside over the ceremony.
