City Link Coaches, a leading bus service in Zimbabwe, has launched a corporate social responsibility initiative to support education in Bulawayo by fully funding the school fees of 60 gifted primary school students.

This initiative which targets students from ten primary schools in the city, aims to recognize and reward academic excellence. The selected students, who are the top performers in their respective grades from the third term, will receive full fee sponsorship for the upcoming academic year.

Speaking to SkyzMetro FM in an interview on the sidelines of launch ceremony yesterday, City Link Coaches’ Bulawayo Regional Manager Edith Dube said that in nurturing young talent and investing in the future of the nation, they hope to inspire the students to reach their full potential and contribute positively to the society.

” At City Link Coaches, we believe in investing in the future of our nation. By supporting these bright young minds, we hope to inspire them to reach their full potential and contribute positively to society.” said Miss Dube.

The first phase of the initiative was launched at Mhali Primary School in Magwegwe yesterday (Tuesday) , where City Link Coaches presented prizes to the selected students.

Mr. Gift Ngwenya, the Headmaster of Mhali Primary School, expressed his gratitude for City Link Coaches’ generous gesture saying that this sponsorship will alleviate the financial burden on many of the students and their families in the community.

“This sponsorship will significantly alleviate the financial burden on many of our students and their families,” he said. “It is a testament to the company’s commitment to education and community development. We are truly grateful for their support and look forward to seeing our students excel even further,” Ngwenya added.

City Link Coaches plans to expand this initiative to other schools in Bulawayo and potentially nationwide, solidifying its commitment to education and community development.
