The Nkomwa Foundation Trust a local organization that advocates for the rights of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) joins the global community in celebrating the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

This year’s theme, “Amplifying the leadership of Persons With Disabilities for an inclusive and sustainable future ” resonated deeply with the foundation’s mission to uplift and support individuals with disabilities in the community.

In an interview with SkyzMetro FM, Norman Mudadisi, the NFT Advocacy Officer, shared that as the organization marks four years of existence in bridging the inclusivity gap, they are particularly celebrating the recognition of PWDs today.

“It comes in as a milestone that we have created an organization in amplifying the voices of the marginalized, which aims to leave them in a position where they are being recognized in the communities where we come from. It is a milestone that we have achieved in these four years as NFT that we are glad of,” said Mudadisi.

The Nkomwa Foundation Trust reaffirmed its commitment to advocating for policy changes that promote inclusion and accessibility. The foundation stands proud in its efforts to create a more inclusive environment, reminding everyone that inclusion benefits everyone and that the contributions of persons with disabilities should be celebrated and valued.
