The Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) has announced the release of guidelines for obtaining Clearance Certificates, as outlined in Public Notice Number 92 of 2024. These guidelines, now available on ZIMRA’s website, address limitations in the computerized systems for 2025 by introducing interim manual processes.
According to ZIMRA’s statement, applicants must be fully tax-compliant, including proper registration and payment of taxes, to qualify for a Clearance Certificate. Professionals are required to apply for the certificate via the Tax and Revenue Management System (TaRMS), while employees must complete manual application forms.
ZIMRA will process these applications at local stations, and submissions can be made through the authority’s email platform. A confirmation letter issued by ZIMRA will serve as a valid Clearance Certificate for registration and licensing purposes.
The authority encourages taxpayers to reach out to their nearest ZIMRA office or the ZIMRA Contact Centre for any inquiries or clarifications.
