Zimtrade Warns Against Fraudulent Agricultural Savings Scams

Zimtrade has issued a warning regarding a recent surge in social media scams impersonating the organization and offering fraudulent agricultural savings programs targeting farmers, workers, students, and unemployed individuals.
In a statement posted on its official X page, Zimtrade alerted the public to a scam soliciting funds for a fake agricultural program, falsely claiming affiliation with the organization. Zimtrade clarified that its mandate is to empower businesses and individuals free of charge, unless explicitly stated and communicated via its official channels. These include its verified social media accounts and WhatsApp number, 0788665599.
The organization also urged citizens to remain vigilant and refrain from sharing personal information with unverified accounts or falling victim to scams.
