Chiwenga Mourns Justice Mupamhanga, Declared National Hero

Acting President and Vice President CDGN Chiwenga has expressed condolences following the passing of Cde Justice Mupamhanga, Deputy Chief Secretary for Monitoring and Evaluation in the Office of the President and Cabinet.
In a statement issued Wednesday by the Department of Presidential Communications, Chiwenga hailed Mupamhanga as a “fireball,” “workhorse,” and “go-getter,” who executed his duties with remarkable zeal, even while recovering from a stroke.
On behalf of President Emmerson Mnangagwa, the government, and his family, Chiwenga extended heartfelt condolences to the Mupamhanga family and announced that Mupamhanga has been conferred national hero status.
Mupamhanga, a liberation war veteran, held key roles in ZANU and ZAPU, the President’s department, and various state institutions, including ZESA and the National Oil Company of Zimbabwe. He is survived by his wife, Amai Mupamhanga, and children, including Honourable Kuda Mupamhanga, Deputy Minister for Youth Empowerment.
